The Perks of Being a Wallflower
I just finished The Perks of Being a Wallflower. I have to say and I am sure most people agree and some even commented on it but I got so into the book that everything else around me disapeared. I read throughout the entire lunch period, through english class, my free period and physics. It's almost like nothing else mattered. I didn't care about what anyone was saying, I was in the book and that is all that mattered.

The first half of the book honestly kind of sucked. But with one event things turned quickly and I could not stop reading. It is such an incredable book and I would recomend it to anyone who wants a good book to read.

It is basically about a boy who is writing letters to an unknown person (the person is never revealed the entire time) He writes about everything in his life and as a reader you get so caught up in it that you can't wait to read the next letter. I find myself relating to him in many ways. He, charlie, is a wallflower. He views things from the outside and does not involve himself. He tlaks about his perception of things.

Wow I feel like the biggest geek, but I am so facinated with this book. I hesitate in saying it is my favorite because everytime I finish a good book I call it my favorite. So the next one I read may change my P.O.V.

I also found myself saving pages just so I could type out a certain quote or paragraph that I think I'll type those out later.

I kind of think i use reading as an escape. When I read I don't need to think of anything else. because when I read nothing else really exists. I can believe whatever I want to believe in without having to be hassled for it. Everything that is stressing me out at the moment also disapears. It is just me and the book. I like that sort of disapearing. Its nice to get away for a while.
